In this article, you'll learn what the Auto-Blog page is, how the posts on it get written and published, and what you can still do with them. A steady stream of posts helps your site show up in Google, and Auto-Blog does the writing so you don't have to.
To open Auto-Blog:
- In the dashboard menu, click Website.
- In the list that opens under it, click Auto-Blog.
What Auto-Blog does
Auto-Blog writes blog posts about your business and publishes them straight to your website. You don't draft them, approve them or schedule them. Each one shows up on this page once it's live.
The page lists every auto-written post, newest first. Each row shows the cover photo, the title, the publish date and the author.
How Auto-Blog posts differ from your own posts
Your website has two kinds of posts, and the dashboard keeps them apart:
- Posts you write yourself live under Website › Content, on the Blog tab. That's where the Write a post button is.
- Posts written for you live here, under Auto-Blog. There's no Write a post button on this page, because the posts are written automatically.
Auto-written posts don't show up on the Blog tab, and your own posts don't show up here.
Viewing a post on your live site
- Find the post in the list.
- Click View live on the right of its row.
The post opens in a new browser tab on your website.
Editing an auto-written post
You can change anything about a post after it's published.
- Click the post's row, or click Edit on the right of it.
- Change the Title, Author, Short summary or Post text. The short summary is what shows on your blog list page and in Google results.
- To change the picture, click the cover photo and choose Replace photo.
- Click Save changes.
- Click Close to go back to the list.
Deleting an auto-written post
- Click Delete on the right of the post's row.
- The row asks Delete this post? Click Yes, delete to remove it, or Cancel to keep it.
When the page is empty
You'll see one of two messages here, depending on where your site is at:
- No auto-blog posts yet. Your website is live, but nothing has been written yet. New posts show up here as they're published.
- Your website isn't set up yet. Your site hasn't gone live, so Auto-Blog has nowhere to publish. Once it's live, posts will appear here.
If the page says it couldn't load your posts, click Try again.
