In this article, you'll learn how to open a job's Timeline and what it shows. It's a quick way to answer questions like "did they ever open the estimate?" or "what time did the crew actually get there?" without digging through texts.
To open a job's timeline:
- Open the job.
- In the tab row under the job's title, tap Timeline. It sits next to Details and Finance.
What the timeline shows
The timeline is a short list of what's happened to the job, each with its date and time in your company's time zone.
Job created
The first line is Job created, with the date and, when the CRM knows it, who created the job.
Scheduled
If the job has a start time, you'll see Scheduled with its date and the start and end times.
What the customer did with the paperwork
Anything the customer did with this job's estimates, invoices and sent documents shows up here, for example:
- Viewed estimate or Viewed invoice, with the number
- Viewed document, with the document's name
- Approved estimate
- Paid invoice
If a customer opens the same estimate or invoice several times within an hour, you'll see it once, at the most recent open.
Arrived and left
When someone's on their way to the job, the timeline can record arrived and left times, with their name:
- A tech, if they're on the job and have Track location turned on.
- A tracked vehicle, if it's the vehicle the job's on-my-way tracking link was sent for.
These only start once the job goes on its way, either by changing its status to on my way or by sending the on-my-way text. Without that, or without location tracking, you won't see arrival times.
Current status
The last line is the job's current status, and its sub-status if it has one, like Status: In progress - On my way.
Notes
If the job has notes, they show under the timeline under Notes.
