In this article, you'll learn how to connect your Facebook Page (and the Instagram account linked to it) during onboarding. It's optional, but it's where you tell us whether you want five-star reviews and daily content posted for you.
To find this step:
- Work through onboarding until you reach the Reviews section.
- The step right after Phone is Facebook & Instagram. It's marked Reviews · optional and asks "Post your best reviews for you?"
Choose what Facebook is for
Under the phone picture there are two switches. Both start on.
- Post 5-star reviews
- Daily content posts
- Leave on the ones you want, or click a switch to turn it off.
If you turn both off, there's nothing to connect for, so the Connect Facebook button goes grey and you can't click it. Turn at least one switch back on to use it.
Connect your Facebook Page
- Click Connect Facebook. Facebook opens in a popup window.
- Log in to Facebook and approve the connection.
- When the popup closes, the step checks your connection and updates.
If you manage more than one Page
If your Facebook login runs several Pages, you'll see Which Page? with a list of them.
- Click the Page for this business.
The step connects that Page and moves on to the connected view.
Check the connection
Once a Page is connected, you'll see a green check and Posting to followed by your Page's name. If an Instagram account is linked to that Page, a second line shows and Instagram @ with its username.
- Picked the wrong Page or the wrong login? Click Change to open Facebook again and connect a different one.
Continue or skip
- Continue stays locked until a Page is connected. Once it is, click Continue to save your choices and go to the next step.
- Not ready? Click Not now to skip the step. Nothing gets connected, and you move on.
- Back takes you to the previous step.
What gets saved when you finish
When you finish onboarding, the Daily content posts switch is written to your account, but only if you connected a Page and didn't skip. It turns daily posting to your Facebook Page on or off to match the switch, and does the same for Instagram if one is linked.
Your Post 5-star reviews choice is saved with your onboarding answers.
